The salt mining is the main economic activity for the Katwe area. It's located in the south western Uganda, between kyambura-katojo Albertine rift valley.It is 8hours drive for 420km from H Kampala-Fortportal- Kasese and Kamplala-Mbarara- Kasese highway connect you to the area.its also located near Kasese Air strip and 1hour drive to the area.The experience takes 2hours as you discover and learn what it takes to get the salt ready for consumption.This is also one of the African industries still surviving.we always delighted to see on board as make discoveries.
